Using the typeface ‘Pilowlava’ designed by Anton Moglia and Jérémy Landes, I wanted to bring the phenomenon of blue lava to life through the use of an unconventional paper type and techniques such as marbling to create a pattern which reflected lavas fluidity.
Intrigued by its unique lava-like and experimental form, I also aimed to portray this further by creating a legible typographic pattern, displaying the word 'lava', for the poster and adding motion and sound for the supporting animation.
